CLICKER TIMING GAMES
Practicing the following exercises will help
you learn to click at the correct moment. Take turns so that each
person has a chance to practice. The other people in the group
(your training partners) will help determine when you are performing
the exercise correctly. Make sure each person is successful with
each exercise before moving on.
EXERCISE #1:
1. Stand up straight and hold the clicker in
the hand you will normally use.
2. Hold the tennis ball in the other hand.
3. Drop the tennis ball and click at the EXACT MOMENT that the
ball touches the ground. The sound of the click and the object
hitting the ground must occur at the same time.
4. Your training partners will coach you on whether your click
was fast, slow, or correct.
EXERCISE #2:
1. Stand up straight and hold the clicker in
the hand you will normally use.
2. Have one of your training partners drop the tennis ball.
3. Click at the EXACT MOMENT the tennis ball hits the floor.
4. The person dropping the tennis ball should drop it from different
heights.
EXERCISE #3:
1. Place a hula hoop, a leash formed into a
circle, or draw a chalk circle approximately 10 feet away from
your group.
2. Have one of your training partners toss the tennis ball into
the hoop.
3. Click at the EXACT MOMENT it bounces in the hoop.
4. The person tossing the tennis ball should miss the hoop every
so often on purpose.
EXERCISE #4:
1. Stand up straight and hold the tennis ball
in your clicker hand. One of your training partners will hold
the clicker in his/her open palm.
2. Drop the ball, grab the clicker, and click at the EXACT MOMENT
the ball hits the floor.
3. Your training partners will coach you.

& Marion Breland Bailey for use at their 'chicken training
camps'.
